1920s wedding at Bedoford Village Inn
Pulling off a wedding with a theme that includes period costumes can be tricky. Things can go hokey fast. But Ashley and Tobin’s November wedding at the Bedford Village Inn hit the mark. It was classic and elegant, yet with modern moments to keep it fresh and fun! A throwback to bygone days celebrating in secret during the prohibition era, Tobin and Ashley’s wedding was brimming with thoughtful details and personal touches ranging from their newspaper themed wedding invitations (so cool) to Ashley’s stunning dress and amazing headpiece. Her hair and makeup were flawless in invoking 1920s glamour, and the bold lip just made it so current and just….perfection! Tobin is no slouch himself in his well tailored blue suit and chic bow tie. All the guys were very debonair in suits each with their own flair, and the girls in an array of dresses looking like Art Deco themselves. And the guests did not disappoint, arriving in costume and ready to celebrate Ashley and Tobin in roaring 20s style! Long time sweethearts, these two are so wonderfully perfect together. I’m lucky enough to know Ashley as the owner and instructor of my favorite Bikram Yoga studio (Bikram Yoga Burlington) and she is just as fabulous a bride as she is a yogi. I’ve also had the pleasure of sharing a few classes with Tobin who practices as well. He needs to stay flexible and in shape for his circus show The Red Trouser Show. Oh, did I mention they were in the circus together at one point? They were. This was definitely one of my favorite weddings of the year for many reasons, not the least of which was seeing Ashley and Tobin, who are so deeply in love, get to tie the knot in front of their loving and supportive friends and family. The amount of joy and love that was all around for the whole evening was really beautiful to be a part of.
