Private Home wedding in Concord

Sean and Mitch met while working together in New York City. The story, as it was told several times throughout the day, goes like this: Mitch had a huge crush on Sean and didn’t know how to make it happen. He called his sisters and girlfriends and talked endlessly about Sean from the office. But he was afraid to ask him out. Sean had noticed Mitch in the office, and he too told his besties all about the hot guy at the office he didn’t know how to start talking to. Well one day they found themselves alone in the elevator at the same time, and the rest it history, as they say. Boom….love! They live in Los Angeles now, but decided to get married at Sean’s mother’s incredible home in Concord. The stately home has incredible gardens that Sean’s mother and her husband have lovingly cultivated. A sailcloth tent went up for the reception, and Sean and Mitch nailed the clean, masculine but soft decor for their tables. Gorgeous greens and white flowers in modern vessels were alongside chic table markers, each named for a different place special to Sean and Mitch’s love story. The details extended to their bespoke suits and coordinating accessories. Another special touch for Mitch while he was getting ready:  his sister gave him a monogramed pocket square with a small piece of their mother’s wedding dress sewn onto it. She passed away years ago, and she was on everyone’s mind as her son was taking this momentous step in his life. The house, the gardens, the lawn sweetly set up with chairs for the ceremony with the Assabet River flowing behind them… It really was the perfect setting for an intimate and elegant wedding. It was all almost as beautiful as Sean and Mitch. I mean, c’mon with these model guys?! Handsome overload here. And, much to my delight, they are both hysterically funny. We were laughing all day, sometimes until tears were coming out. And then there were the other tears – the ones that everyone was shedding watching Sean and Mitch say their vows. What a deeply touching and tender ceremony they had. Mitch’s sister was the officiant, and, since his mom couldn’t be there, he walked down the aisle with his maid of honor, whose love for Mitch was palpable. You could feel the love from all of their closest friends & family who came in from Los Angeles and New York and beyond. They had a great group for their big day, all of whom were so genuinely happy to see their besties get married. There wer tears and smiles all day. I cried quite a bit myself. But then the dancing started…. and this crew loves to boogie. Lots of great music, delicious food, beautiful heartfelt toasts, and a party late into the night…. It was a fantastic celebration! Sean and Mitch were definitely two of my favorites this year. xoxo
